Julie was preceded in death by her mother and her niece, Bailey Ann Kelly. She was preparing to take the Montana fish, wildlife and parks state falconry exam at the time of her passing. Recently she often assisted her dad in caring for his hunting and breeding falcons and hawks. She loved fishing, snake hunting on hot summer evenings, deer hunting with her dad, sisters, cousin, nephew and her son, Justin. Julie loved helping her mom and dad to mow the lawn on the riding lawn mower, which gave her a 'tanning' opportunity. Julie was a very attractive, lovely girl who wore a super smile that caused many of her friends to find themselves aiming their cameras in her direction, a thing which Julie enjoyed and got a big kick out of. She proved to be an excellent salesperson, bartender, and care giver, winning the love and respect of many of the folks she helped to care for. Julie was a people person as all who knew her will easily attest to. After graduation from high school, Julie attended Montana State University in Bozeman where she was also a Bobcat Cheerleader, making the varsity cheerleading squad, a position that found many trying out for but few obtaining. This carried over into her Great Falls High School years where she became a varsity cheerleader. In grade school Julie excelled at gymnastics. One of the most unforgettable and happiest moments in Julie's life was when her son, Hayden and Delany gave birth to a darling little girl, Oakley, on September 11, 2021, making Julie a very proud grandmother for the first time. Julie attended Morningside Elementary School and Great Falls High School, where she graduated in 1988. Her family moved to Montana on May 20, 1976. Julie was born on May 24, 1970, in Laramie, Wyoming, the loving daughter of John Jeff and Anne L. There will be a reception to follow at Tuffy's Sunet Inn. A Memorial Service will be held in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 2pm. "Ulie", passed away suddenly on November 20, 2023. A memorial service will be held in July of 2023 in Monarch, MT. He is survived by his children, Nathan (Dawn) and Amanda (Charles) all of Great Falls sisters, Amy (Will) Walker of Ralph, AL, Janice (Joe) Keough of Gulf Porte, MS, and Jackie Gruwell of Morehead, MN brothers, Nathan (Gail) Compton of Lolo, MT and Jeff (Tracy) Compton of Tucson AZ and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carla Compton mom and dad as well as his brother, Ward Compton. Dennis loved being a grandpa to his only grandson, Hunter. He met the love of his life Carla in 1980 and took on the role of Dad to her two children, Amanda and Nathan. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was also a master carpenter by trade and could fix or build just about anything. He spent much of his time fishing, or you would find him up in the mountains cutting firewood to sell and hunting. He grew up in Great Falls and Vaughn, Montana where he spent his youth developing a love of the outdoors. Dennis was born to Duane and Shirley Compton in Great Falls, MT on May 11, 1957. Dennis Dean Compton, passed away March 27, 2023, in Great Falls, MT.
